Professor Liu Manqiang invited to do a report in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden

December 2, Professor Liu Manqiang, who works in Soil Ecology Laboratory of Resources and Environment Institute of Nanjing Agricultural University, was invited to visit XTBG by Professor Yang Xiaodong.
During the visit, Professor Liu Manqiang made a wonderful report with the title ‘Exploring the roles of soil community characteristics in delivering soil ecosystem functions’. The report describes their recent two sophisticated research work: the invasion of alien microbes and herbivory affect underground nematode community, and moreover he exploreed the relationship between soil biological communities and ecosystem function. After the meeting, Professor Liu also conducted extensive exchanges and discussions with the scientists.
Professor Liu Manqiang is one of the few nematode ecological experts in china, his report have a good inspiration for our future research in ecology of soil nematode.
